Edward Hovhannisyan Dismissed from Office Following Pashinyan's Visit to Armavir Province
The Governor of Armavir Province, Edward Hovhannisyan, has been dismissed from his position by a decision of the government. The announcement was published on the government’s website.
According to the document, “Guided by the second part of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the first part of Article 6 of the Law on Territorial Administration, and point 5 of the fifth part of the same article, the government decides to relieve Edward Hovhannisyan from the post of Governor of Armavir Province.”
It is worth noting that today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Armavir Province, stopped in the settlement of Aragats, toured the M. Mekhakyan Secondary School, and identified several deficiencies and issues.
