Wildberries to Increase Commission on Household Appliances and Electronics Sales
Wildberries will increase the commission on sales of household appliances and electronics starting January 8. This information was communicated to RBC by several market participants, and it has been confirmed by a representative of Wildberries.
"For items that comprise one-tenth of the products sold, such as headphones, projectors, electric scooters, and chargers, prices will not change. For another fifth, prices will increase by 2 percentage points (for monitors, cameras, gaming consoles, etc.)," said the Wildberries representative.
He noted that on average, the commission will rise by 5 percentage points. Meanwhile, for processors, it will increase by 7 percentage points, from 5% to 12%, and for smartwatches, it will rise by 10 percentage points, from 5% to 15%.
The company's representative mentioned that in 2023, they have reduced the electronics commission twice, which has allowed sellers to increase their revenue.
