A Criminal Police Force Will Be Established: What Changes Are Expected
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, under the leadership of the Minister, organized a meeting to discuss new formats of cooperation with the media and related reforms. A correspondent from Auroranews was also present at the meeting.
It was mentioned during the meeting that they want to become the most trusted government agency by the people. In response to a question from Auroranews's correspondent about whether there will come a time when they can rely not only on Shamsyan's materials but also on the Ministry of Internal Affairs' police reports, the Minister replied, 'We will do everything for that.' He then jokingly added, 'I also want to know the secret of Shamsyan.'
It was also noted that internal forces will have a Guards unit and a criminal police force will be established. All police departments will undergo certification. Based on the results of the certification, salaries will be reviewed. It was also mentioned that cameras will be installed in all schools.
