Edita
A British warship will be dispatched to the shores of Guyana. This was reported by the Financial Times. According to a representative of the UK Ministry of Defence, the patrol vessel Trent will be sent by London to South America as a sign of support for the former British colony, which is facing territorial claims from Venezuela.
According to the newspaper, the Trent, armed with cannons and machine guns, is primarily used in anti-terrorism exercises and also participates in operations aimed at preventing piracy and smuggling. Typically, the vessel operates in the Mediterranean Sea. The crew of the Trent consists of 65 personnel, and the warship can also accommodate a helicopter.
