Putin Promises Armenia Necessary Support During Presidency in EAEU

Russia will provide Armenia with all the necessary assistance during its presidency in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), stated Russian President Vladimir Putin while addressing a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Supreme Council.

Noting that starting from January 1, Russia will transfer its presidential functions in the EAEU to Armenia, the president wished success to “Armenian partners and friends.”

“Of course, we will provide them with all the necessary assistance,” said Putin.

He also reminded that 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the EAEU founding treaty. “We have now agreed during a narrow meeting that considering this is a commemorative event, everyone has accepted my proposal to hold a summit in Moscow in May 2024 dedicated to this anniversary,” said Putin.
