VIDEO: Eruption Begins on Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula
Eruption has begun on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southern Iceland. This was recorded following a magnitude 4.2 earthquake near the town of Grindavik, according to the country's meteorological center.
Local media reports indicate that this marks the fourth volcanic eruption in the past three years. However, one month ago, Icelandic authorities announced the evacuation of Grindavik due to the danger of lava accumulation beneath the town, a consequence of previous earthquakes.
