VIDEO: Around 30 Masked Individuals Armed with Wooden Clubs Attack the Armenian Community in Jerusalem

At 12:40 PM, a group of terrorists clad in black clothing and masks, numbering around 30, armed with wooden clubs, tear gas grenades, and other means, attacked members of the Armenian community in the 'Cow's Garden' area of the Armenian Quarter in Jerusalem, aiming to harm, expel from the area, and terrorize them.

According to IsraelaHayer.com, the assailants began to throw stones at the Armenians. 'Young Armenians and caught-off-guard clergy erupted into a real fight against them, responding proportionately and holding the area until the police, stationed 200 meters away in the Old City, arrived on the scene with a delay. The attack was eventually halted. Two Armenians were taken to the police station. It is currently unclear whether the assailants have been arrested and will face punishment,' noted IsraelaHayer.com.

The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem reports that several priests, deacons, students, and indigenous Armenians from the Armenian Theological Academy have suffered serious injuries. 'This is the criminal response we have received for filing a lawsuit regarding the 'Cow's Garden' issue with the Jerusalem District Court, which the court officially received 24 hours ago. The threat to the existence of the Armenian Patriarchate is now a physical reality. Bishops, priests, deacons, and indigenous Armenians are fighting on the ground for their lives. We call on governments around the world and international media to help us save the Armenian Quarter from violent destruction, supported locally by unnamed organizations. We urge the Israeli government and police to launch an investigation against Deni Rothman (Rubenstein) and George Warvari (Hadad) for organizing their ongoing criminal attacks against the Armenian Patriarchate and community, attacks that seem to have no end. Israel is a state of law and order, and such criminal behavior cannot be tolerated and go unpunished,' the Patriarchate stated.
