I Hope We Will Receive Positive Responses from Him: Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he expects to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the near future, expressing a hope to discuss the Black Sea Grain Initiative. The information is reported by RIA Novosti.
“In my upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, we will say, let’s make sure the grain corridor works. I hope that we will receive positive responses from him and continue on our path,” Erdogan told reporters on his plane after returning from Hungary.
He emphasized the necessity to resume the Black Sea Grain Initiative. “We need to restore the operations of the ‘grain corridor’ and ensure that needy African countries receive their share. We, along with Russia and Qatar, have created a tripartite solidarity. Qatar will maintain the grain coming through this corridor at a financial level, we will process it in our flour mills, and then send it to African countries. We are monitoring this project,” said the Turkish President.
