Do Not Incite New War Against Armenia: Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister to France
Edita
The policies of France towards Armenia could lead to the resumption of armed conflict. Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mamedov has called on Yerevan to avoid inciting a new war in an interview with Colombian NTN24 television. The information was reported by lenta.ru.
“France's actions in supplying defensive and offensive weapons to Armenia do not contribute to the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus,” the minister stated.
Mamedov asserted that Azerbaijani lands have suffered from the “severe consequences of Armenian occupation.” He emphasized that “local counter-terrorism measures conducted in September of this year were aimed exclusively at the illegal armed formations of separatists.”
