Death, Deadlock, and Reminders of Declining American Aid: The Situation at the Ukrainian Front

Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are voicing their concerns over daily attacks from Russian drones and powerful electronic warfare (EW) systems that are suppressing Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as the harsh conditions present at the front lines. This was reported by CNN journalist Nick Walsh, who has arrived in Ukraine. The information was conveyed by RIA Novosti.

“Forty Russian drones attack Ukrainian trenches every day. Batteries quickly drain in the cold, and Russian EW systems are also jamming the drones,” he noted in his report.

Ukrainian soldiers, speaking with the journalist, admitted that they are suffering serious losses and that morale is already decreasing. “The counteroffensive was supposed to push the Russians back to the sea this summer. But now there is dirt, death, deadlock, and reminders of declining American aid everywhere. The mood is completely different—everything is sad. A feeling of despair, to be honest. Previously, they (the Ukrainian Armed Forces) did not speak about defeat, but it seems everything is heading that way,” the journalist summarized.
