Method of Boycott: Avinyan on the Cancellation of the Bus Purchase Tender for 171 Buses

The tender for the procurement of 171 buses was canceled due to the actions of unscrupulous participants. This was stated by Vazgen Harutyunyan, the acting head of the transport department of the Yerevan Municipality, during a working meeting of the city council.

According to him, the reason was that the winning bidder, who offered the lowest price, failed to provide the bank guarantee required by the tender.

Harutyunyan also announced that a new tender would be announced. “There were 4 participants, one of whom was unscrupulous, while the other 3 were Chinese companies,” he added.

Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted, “I assume that the new tender will be conducted under a different procedure, where such boycott methods will not be present.”
