Video: Armed Attack on Police Station in Iran Leaves Casualties

At least 12 police officers have been killed following a terrorist attack on the police station in the city of Rasht, located in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan. This was reported by Mehdi Shamsabadi, the prosecutor of the regional administrative center, Zahedan.

"12 police officers have been killed, and 7 others have been injured as a result of the terrorist incident at the Rasht police station," Fars agency quoted him as saying.

The Jaish al-Zolm terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile, the IRNA agency reports that several attackers were also killed and injured during the assault.
