Snow is Falling: Situation on Armenia's Roads

The Road Department reports that as of 09:00, snow is falling in the regions of Ani, Artik, Ashotsk, Aragats, Spitak, and Vayk.

“All inter-state and national significance roads are open. Road construction workers are conducting cleaning and salting operations on the roads,” the statement reads.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations state rescue service informs that the road from the “Amberd” high mountain meteorological station to Kar lake is closed in the Aragatsotn region. Snow is also falling in the Vardenyats pass, as well as in the regions of Amasia and Ashotsk.

It is noted that there is fog in the elevated areas of Syunik.

Regarding the Lars situation, it is reported: “According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.”
