Of Course, We Will Follow Closely: Peskov
The Kremlin will carefully monitor the meeting between U.S. President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which is taking place today. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia, to reporters. TASS reports this information.
“Of course, we will follow closely,” he said in response to a relevant question. According to him, the results of the Biden-Zelensky meeting cannot change the situation on the battlefield.
“It is important for everyone to understand that the tens of billions of dollars accumulated for Ukraine have not helped it achieve any success on the battlefield. The same fiasco will also condemn the tens of billions of dollars that Ukraine hopes to inject into its economy. We understand this process very well,” the Kremlin representative noted.
“The situation on the battlefield cannot be changed. And this cannot change the progress of the special military operation,” emphasized the press secretary of the President of Russia, responding to a question about whether the results of the Biden-Zelensky meeting could affect the course of his actions.
