VIDEO. "The Project is Premature" - Hovik Aghazaryan

Mariam Z.

During the discussion of the government's proposed amendment to the "Law on State Duties," MP Hovik Aghazaryan from the Civil Contract party stated that it is a bad law. "The project is premature; currently about 50% of parking spaces are occupied, and there is no problem. A citizen enters into a partnership with the state; they put their apartment as collateral, take money, buy a car—by the time they arrive at the parking lot, each will have spent around $8,000. They say, 'In four months, I will find a buyer, I will sell it, and then I will pay the state and also have some income.' Therefore, this is violated if we set it to 5000," he emphasized.

It is noteworthy that the proposal suggests increasing the parking rate at the customs from 1,600 AMD per day to 5,000 AMD.
