EU to Increase Number of Observers in Armenia
The Foreign Ministers of EU member states have decided to increase the number of observers in the EU civilian mission in Armenia by 50%, raising the total to 209. This announcement was made by Josep Borrell, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, during a press conference following the meeting of EU Foreign Ministers, as reported by TASS.
“Today, the foreign ministers of EU countries decided to expand our civilian mission in Armenia, increasing the personnel from 138 to 209. This is a significant improvement in the number of observers, and it will contribute to enhancing stability along the Armenian-Azerbaijani international border,” Borrell stated.
