How Long Will the Intense Fighting Continue in Gaza?

Intense military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip may last for at least two months. This information was reported by Israeli Kan radio, citing a source in the political system. The information is relayed by gazeta.ru.

According to the source, after two months of intensive fighting, no agreements for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip are anticipated. It has been noted that local operations in the Gaza area will be carried out by military units that will remain inside the Palestinian enclave.

Kan reports that Israel will continue to try to promote additional agreements to release hostages taken on October 7 for several months. Sources from the radio station believe that at some point, Israel will allow some residents of Gaza to return to their homes, as this is a demand from the United States and also coincides with operational necessity.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that operations in Gaza would continue for at least two months following a short-term ceasefire.
