German Fighters Scrambled Due to Unknown Aircraft

German fighters approached the aircraft and established contact with its pilot, who explained that a communication loss had occurred.

The unknown aircraft, which had lost contact with dispatchers, was spotted in Germany's airspace during the night. This prompted the scramble of German fighters, as reported by Bild.

The unidentified aircraft had entered Germany's airspace from Lithuania. Two Eurofighter jets from a tactical squadron of the Luftwaffe were scrambled from Neuburg an der Donau. They flew through the skies of Bavaria and Thuringia to intercept the rogue aircraft.

According to the German Air Force, the German fighters approached the aircraft that had arrived from Lithuania and established communication with its pilot. He explained that a communication loss had occurred. The pilot changed course, and the fighters escorted him to Polish airspace.

Residents in Bavaria and Thuringia, where the air operation was taking place, were calling the police en masse to report a loud noise in the sky.
