Any ship sailing towards Israel will become a target: warning from Yemen
The Houthi rebels of Yemen's Shiite Ansar Allah movement have stated that they will not spare ships in the Red and Arabian Seas that are in any way connected to Israel. This was reported by RIA Novosti, quoting a representative of the movement, Yahya Saree.
“Any ship heading towards the [Israeli] Zionist entity will be a legitimate target for the [Houthis],” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Saree also added that the restriction on shipping is linked to Israel's limitations on the supply of food and medicine to the Gaza Strip. Previously, on December 3, it was reported that the Houthis had carried out an operation against two Israeli ships in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. “Ansar Allah” declared that they will continue to pursue Israeli vessels in the Red and Arabian Seas as long as Israel does not cease its operations in the Gaza Strip.
