US Welcomes Statement from Armenia and Azerbaijan, Says Matthew Miller

The United States welcomes the statement from Armenia and Azerbaijan as an important step towards building mutual trust regarding the release of detainees. This was announced by Matthew Miller, the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State.
"The parties are working to finalize a peace agreement and normalize relations, which the U.S. continues to support steadfastly," Miller stated.
It is noteworthy that on December 7, Azerbaijan announced the release of 32 Armenian servicemen, while Armenia declared the release of 2 Azerbaijani servicemen.
