New Apartment Building Completed in Aparan, 43 Families to Receive Housing, Says Gnel Sanosyan
The government made a decision today, December 7, regarding the donation of residential areas. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan presented the project, stating: “In place of the emergency buildings located at Baghramyan-43 and Garegin Nzhdeh-7 in the city of Aparan, a new apartment building with 43 apartments has been constructed entirely with state funds at Garegin Nzhdeh-36, costing about 682 million drams. Previously, the two buildings had 38 apartments in total. The former buildings measured 1800 square meters, while the new building is approximately 2700 square meters, which means nearly all homeowners will receive larger apartments than their previous living space. The construction of the building is complete, and it has been handed over to the State Property Committee. We can now distribute the apartments. If a person previously had two rooms, they will still have two rooms, but the space will be larger.
As a result of this decision, we will provide housing to 43 families (108 individuals). Of the five extra apartments, three will be given to families of those who died in the Artsakh war, and two will go to families affected by the earthquake.”
The Chairman of the Committee for Urban Development, Armen Ghulyan, provided details, stating that there are 16 one-room apartments, 14 two-room apartments, 12 three-room apartments, and 1 four-room apartment available.
Prime Minister Pashinyan also inquired, “Has the construction been carried out under our supervision, is the quality satisfactory? In what condition will the apartments be handed over to the people?” The head of the Urban Development Committee assured that the building's foundations are reinforced and meet quality standards.
