Man Who Attempted Suicide Over 40 Times Threatens to Jump from Bridge Again

On December 8, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 8:50 PM, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that a citizen had crossed the dangerous edge of the "Victory" Bridge, threatening to commit suicide.

According to Shamshyan, a similar call was also received by the operational management center of the RA Police. A firefighting unit from Yerevan's fire-rescue service No. 1 arrived at the scene.

Currently, rescue psychologists and officers from the central police department are negotiating with the citizen to encourage him to step away from the dangerous edge of the bridge to a safe location. It has been determined that this individual is Khajak, who has attempted suicide in a similar manner more than 40 times.
