Court Cases Can Be Examined Electronically: "Zhoghovurd"
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the Ministry of Justice of Armenia is proposing the implementation of an electronic court system. The draft of these amendments has been presented to the National Assembly, with proposals for changes to the constitutional law "On Amendments to the Constitutional Law of the Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia" and the laws "On Amendments and Additions to the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia" and "On Amendments and Additions to the Administrative Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia."
It is noted that the aim of this system's implementation is to alleviate the burden on the courts, facilitate faster examination of cases using electronic tools, conserve resources for the courts and participants in the litigation process, and ensure the examination of civil and administrative cases within a reasonable timeframe.
The rationale indicates that the goal of the project is to create a situation where any action executed properly through the electronic system, in accordance with the tools provided by the system, will have the same procedural consequences as a similar action carried out in the traditional manner.
