Ford Mustang Driver Attacks Police Officers
According to Shamshyan, on December 5, police officers from the Ararat region were deployed to strengthen their service on August 23 Street in the city of Artashat, near the Ararat Regional Administration, in order to clear traffic congestion. At that time, the driver of a Ford Mustang approached them, began shouting at the officers, and insulted them, creating a hazardous situation for other drivers.
The officers urged him to stop his rude behavior, as his actions were offensive not only to the serving officers but also to the public. Nevertheless, he continued to drive towards the Plaza shopping center, where his vehicle was ultimately stopped.
Upon exiting the vehicle, the driver continued to act boorishly, hurling insults not just at the police officers but also at the criminal investigation officers from the Artashat division of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs who arrived at the scene. He persisted in not complying with the legal demands of the police, punched Officer Arsen Mkrtchyan, and attacked the serving patrol officers.
