An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 has been recorded near the coasts of Vanuatu. This was reported by the United States Geological Survey.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 125 km south of the town of Isangel, with a depth of 32 km.

The National Tsunami Warning Center of the United States has issued a warning about the potential danger of a tsunami. According to the center's forecasts, the earthquake could generate a tsunami up to 300 km from the epicenter of the tremors along the coasts of Vanuatu and New Caledonia.
