Ukraine Could Become Part of Russia, Says US Official

Ukraine could become part of Russia if American lawmakers do not agree on assistance to be provided to Kyiv next year, stated US Democratic Senator Chris Murphy. According to him, quoted by Defense News, Washington cannot delay making a decision.
“We need to make a decision right now – will Kyiv be a Russian city or a Ukrainian city?” the senator said. “I am frustrated that Republicans are not taking this seriously due to the stakes in the current situation. And the stakes are whether Ukraine will exist in 12 months, or will it be part of Russia,” he added.
