Will Bus Fares Increase in Yerevan? City Hall Provides Clarification

The Yerevan Municipality has decided to raise bus fares from 100 drams to 150 drams in the near future. This was announced during a Facebook live broadcast by the vice president of the 'Bright Armenia' party, Davit Khajakyan.

"Naturally, they have to say that many things have become more expensive, and the route should also become more expensive," Khajakyan stated, adding that he has reservations on this issue, and it might be possible to maintain the fare by implementing comprehensive reforms.

To clarify this information, Auroranews contacted the Yerevan Municipality, where officials stated that this information does not correspond to reality. "Currently, there are no discussions regarding this matter. If such a decision is made, we will be the first to announce it," said the city hall.
