"What We Have is Legal": Levon Kocharyan

There is no communication or relationship with the opposition MPs, I have only seen them in the hall during the sessions. This was stated by Levon Kocharyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, during a brief interview with journalists.

"It is the opposition's task to highlight the mistakes of the authorities, because most of our population is not well informed about the processes. Those people who may be hesitant do not have a clear understanding of certain issues; it is the opposition's duty to make all of this apparent to those individuals," said the MP.

Speaking about discussions regarding the legality of their family's assets, Levon Kocharyan stated: "The authorities have had the means and opportunities to verify everything; what we have is legal. We have not hidden what we possess; we have spoken about it."

Regarding the discussions formed around the Northern Avenue, Kocharyan said: "I am very happy that this part of Yerevan has become beautiful, well-kept, and a good street. Whether any mistakes were made during this process, you know that in any large project, there can be shortcomings. I am not familiar with the details to say whether the people were compensated correctly or not. I also know many cases where people were well compensated and are satisfied."
