Aren Khartyan Becomes World Boxing Championship Runner-Up
Aren Khartyan, competing in the 52 kg weight class, became the runner-up in the senior age category of the upcoming boxing world championship after losing in the final to Kyrgyzstan's Amantur Jumayev, settling for a silver medal.
In the first round, the Kyrgyz boxer showcased better accuracy, with the judges awarding him the win by a score of 4:1. In the second round, Jumayev extended his lead, winning with a score of 5:0.
To win this bout, Khartyan would have needed to achieve a knockout, which he was unable to accomplish, resulting in the championship title going to the representative from Kyrgyzstan.
