VIDEO: Severe Storm in Crimea Leaves Casualties and Injuries

The head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, has issued a statement regarding the ongoing efforts to address the aftermath of a powerful storm. He reported that 12 people have been injured, and 5 have lost their lives due to the storm. The disaster has affected 320 settlements.

More than half a million residents are without power, according to SevastopolMedia news agency. It has been noted that the coastal structures, beaches, and tourist areas of Yalta, Alushta, Evpatoria, Feodosia, Kerch, and Sudak have suffered significant damage.

Over 3,000 personnel and 350 units of equipment have been mobilized to deal with the consequences of the emergency situation. In the first hours following the flooding of residential buildings, 445 people were evacuated, including 69 children. Currently, 53 people, including 6 children, remain in temporary accommodation points, where they are being provided with hot meals.

Since this morning, approximately 1,600 subscribers have been without electricity, and 25 units of equipment have been utilized to deliver water to the affected population.
