Turkish Nationalist Leader Threatens Israel with War

Devlet Bahçeli, the leader of Turkey's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), has sharply condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, describing them as one of the most brutal atrocities of our time. In a statement on social media, he claims that more than 16,000 Palestinians have died and tens of thousands have been injured due to Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023, according to TRT Haber.

The nationalist leader emphasized that Israel's actions, including the resumption of attacks after a temporary ceasefire, constitute "crimes against humanity." He denounced the bombardment of Gaza, labeling the enclave as a "death zone." Bahçeli also called for the establishment of a Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders of 1967.

He demanded that Israel pay compensation and that its leadership, including Benjamin Netanyahu, be held accountable before the International Criminal Court for their actions. Bahçeli expressed the opinion that the Jewish community should condemn Israel's aggression and asserted Turkey's willingness to support the Palestinians.

"The Turkish people no longer wish to remain silent and silently watch the bloodshed and genocide occurring every day," Bahçeli stated, emphasizing that "volunteers who love Jerusalem are ready to do anything to protect the oppressed Palestinian brothers and Islamic values."
