Russia's $8.8 Billion Assets Frozen Again

Switzerland has frozen Russian assets amounting to $8.8 billion, the country’s government announced. According to Reuters, the restrictions were imposed as part of sanctions aimed at punishing Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine.

The Swiss government had previously frozen Russian assets of a similar amount last year.
