Airline with Three Shareholders, Presented as National Carrier, Soon to Cease Flights

Between December 2 and 4, a decision will be made regarding Fly Arna airline ceasing flights from Armenia. According to the newspaper 'Joghjout', there are serious issues related to the company's organizational and financial matters.

Sources from the publication indicate that when this airline entered the market and began its operations, David Papazyan was the director of Fly Arna. He has hired various individuals without the necessary qualifications, assigning them significant positions and high salaries. This company has received state financial assistance, for which the State Audit Office has conducted checks. All documents and obvious violations have been submitted to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. It is due to this reason that serious disagreements have arisen, leading Pashinyan to decide that it would be best for the company to stop its flights.

The failure of this company is also linked to Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan, as he was an intermediary advocating for this airline to conduct flights in Armenia. This issue is being intensely discussed among the ruling party MPs, and everyone is looking for culprits.

Additionally, it should be noted that the company was registered on December 10, 2021, as 'Armenian National Airlines' LLC and is marketed under the brand 'Fly Arna'. According to the state registry, the airline has three shareholders but presents itself as a national carrier.
