Production Activities of Public Catering Facility Suspended in Tavush

Production activities of a public catering facility in Tavush have been suspended due to violations of sanitary-hygienic norms. This information was reported by the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia.

According to the report, inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body conducted an examination at a public catering facility owned by individual entrepreneur Armine Khachatryan in the village of Achajur, Tavush region, and identified several violations.

It has been established that the food establishment was not designed, constructed, or located in a manner that would allow for the proper application of hygiene methods, including protection against contamination and pest control. The floors and walls of the food establishment did not have smooth surfaces, were not in a state of repair, were not easily cleanable, and were not made from impermeable, non-absorbent, washable materials.

In addition, the working surfaces for food preparation were not in a state of repair, and were not easily cleanable or disinfected. The kitchen lacked sinks for hand and raw material washing, and the facility was not equipped with changing rooms for staff.

The production activities of the public catering facility have been suspended, and a deadline has been set to rectify the identified violations.
