NSS Interrogates Wives of Former Officials

The National Security Service (NSS) has entered several kindergartens in Yerevan and interrogated the directors. This was reported by the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper, which notes that among those questioned were also the wives of former officials.

According to the newspaper, the investigation will determine whether they will be arrested in the coming days.

It is worth recalling that on November 27, the NSS released a statement stating that five individuals were arrested for committing particularly large-scale thefts while supplying food to various kindergartens.

It was revealed that the owners of 'HAIKAZUNQ' and 'FOTON' LLC, which were recognized as winners in public procurement competitions and engaged in food supply, had prepared false documents with the involvement of seven individuals, including company employees, in cooperation with responsible persons from various kindergartens operating under the Yerevan City Hall.

According to the NSS, from February to November 2023, they received and misappropriated large sums of money for batches of goods that were not actually supplied, through fraudulent means.
