What To Do? Armenian President on the State Institutions of Artsakh
The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, believes that the operations of the state institutions of the Republic of Artsakh in Armenia are pointless. He stated this during a conversation with journalists while responding to a relevant question.
Khachaturyan emphasized that Armenia protects the rights of the people of Artsakh. "The state institutions of the Republic of Artsakh are operating—what should they do? The Republic of Armenia exists, its state institutions operate, and the functions they are supposed to carry out... what function should they perform?" Khachaturyan noted.
The President also disagreed with a journalist's statement that the people of Artsakh believe that Armenia should not surrender their homeland to the enemy, stating, "The Republic of Armenia has not done such a thing, and the Republic of Artsakh recognized its membership in Azerbaijan back in 1991."
When asked by a journalist why Aliyev had not taken Artsakh until now, the president replied, "Let him take it."
