Blinken Discusses with Nikol Pashinyan: What Was Covered
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had phone conversations with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by the State Department’s official representative, Matthew Miller.
“Blinken and Pashinyan discussed U.S. support for the efforts to achieve a durable and dignified peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Secretary reiterated U.S. support for Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and emphasized efforts to expand bilateral cooperation with Armenia as we work to support its vision of building a prosperous and democratic future,” he stated.
According to the statement, “the Secretary reaffirmed the United States’ ongoing support for Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” In turn, according to the spokesperson’s statement, on the same day Secretary Antony Blinken also spoke with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
