Major Car Accident on Yerevan-Sevan Road, Injuries Reported
On November 29, at 13:24, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident on the Abovyan-Sevan road where vehicles had collided, and there were citizens trapped.
A team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ regional rescue department, including one firefighting unit, along with a rescue team from the special rescue operations center, were deployed to the scene.
It was revealed that at the 20th km of the Yerevan-Sevan road, a collision occurred between a "Range Rover" (driver: P. E., born in 1988) and a "Volkswagen". Before the rescuers arrived, the driver of the "Range Rover" and passenger S. O. (born in 1989) were extracted from the vehicle, while A. E. (born in 1996) and A. E. (born in 2000) were removed from the "Volkswagen".
P. E. and S. O. were transported to a medical center. Rescuers assisted A. E. (born in 1996) and A. E. (born in 2000) to the ambulance, and they were hospitalized in a medical center where doctors assessed the condition of the injured as extremely serious.
Rescuers also sealed the gas cylinder valve of the "Volkswagen" and carried out ventilation operations.
