Death Toll from Severe Weather Conditions in Ukraine Reaches 12
The death toll due to severe weather conditions in Ukraine has risen to 12, as reported by the country's Minister of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko.
“Currently, there are no adverse weather conditions in the region. However, 521 settlements across 11 districts remain without electricity. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, 12 people have died and 23 have been injured, including two children,” Klimenko stated on his Telegram channel.
Just a day earlier, he had reported that 10 people had died due to the harsh weather conditions.
Since Sunday, the weather has deteriorated in several regions of Ukraine, with snowfall and strong winds. According to the minister, the most difficult situation has developed in the Odesa region.
