Drinking Water Tariff Will Not Increase for Consumers: PSRC Decision
During today's meeting on November 29, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia set the water supply and wastewater treatment tariffs for 2024 for subscribers of Veolia Jsn LLC.
For socially disadvantaged subscribers, the tariff will remain unchanged at 180 AMD, while for other subscribers the current tariff will be 205.992 AMD, which is 2.427 AMD lower than the existing tariffs.
It's notable that in 2023, the Armenian government provided a subsidy, and consumers (except for the socially disadvantaged) are currently paying 200.47 AMD per cubic meter. Following discussions, the subsidy will continue, and consumers will continue to pay the same amount, 200.47 AMD, in 2024. As a result, the drinking water tariff will not increase for consumers in 2024.
