Blinken Responds to NATO's Inquiry on Ukraine's Possible Membership
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has stated that Ukraine is on its path to NATO membership and will join when member states are confident that it meets the accession criteria. This was reported by 'RIA Novosti'.
“We reaffirmed the commitments made in Vilnius that Ukraine will become a NATO member when allies agree that the conditions are met,” said Blinken during a meeting in Brussels with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
Following the meeting of foreign ministers from NATO countries, Blinken promised that all member states would continue to provide Ukraine with everything necessary to confront Russia.
