What the Anti-Corruption Commission Found Regarding Aghajanyan: Details
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that it has previously covered the property declared by the National Assembly member from the ruling party, Edward Aghajanyan. The former DJ Ed Ward has managed to accumulate substantial assets over the past 4-5 years.
According to information from the Anti-Corruption Commission, a case has been opened regarding the absence of violations of incompatibility requirements by Edward Aghajanyan.
As per the information uploaded on January 16, 2023, Edward Aghajanyan has been the owner of 50% of the charter capital of "EXFID" LLC since September 17, 2014. Moreover, he did not provide data on his participation in the company or the management of commercial entities in the 2021 annual income declaration submitted on May 31, 2022. This prompted the initiation of a case.
It is also worth noting that after receiving his parliamentary mandate, the member is obliged to deregister from individual entrepreneurship within one month, resign from positions held in commercial organizations, withdraw from commercial organizations or fully transfer his shares in their charter capital to fiduciary management and renounce fiduciary management of others' property in commercial organizations. He must also vacate any position held in state or local self-government bodies.
The case initiated on the mentioned facts has been closed, as "EXFID" LLC had already been transferred to fiduciary management at the time of assuming the parliamentary mandate. In other words, it has been established that everything is in order on paper.
