Stabbing Involving MP's Grandson at College: Authorities Struggling to Locate Him

Yesterday, media reports surfaced regarding a stabbing incident that took place at the "Yerevan Law and Management College," involving the grandson of MP Gagik Melkonyan. According to these sources, Melkonyan's grandson stabbed another student from the same college.

As informed by Hraparak, on the day of the incident, the injured student was transported to St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center with bodily injuries. During the questioning, the injured student told law enforcement that he had fallen from a tree. However, arriving officers determined that the injury was inflicted by student Gagik Karen Melkonyan, the grandson of MP Gagik Melkonyan.

Reports indicate that following the stabbing incident on November 24 at the "Yerevan Law and Management College" complex, law enforcement has been unable to locate Gagik Karen Melkonyan, the grandson of MP Gagik Melkonyan, who is also a student at the college.

Materials regarding the incident have been prepared by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs and forwarded to the Investigative Committee of Armenia. According to our information, the Investigative Committee has not initiated any actions to uncover the alleged stabbing.
