Participants Demanding the Prime Minister's Resignation Again Detained Today

The police used brute force to detain members of the 'Zang' movement who had set up a tent for an awareness-raising action near the statue of Alexander Tamanyan. Activists demanding the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan insisted they have the right to organize gatherings and hold demonstrations. During the action, they erected a tent near the Cascade, after which the police demanded its removal, claiming that the presence of the tent restricted the rights of others.

Participants in the action refused to comply with the police's demands, leading law enforcement to forcibly arrest six citizens who had set up the tent on administrative charges. It is important to note that for the fourth consecutive day, members of the 'Zang' movement have been holding awareness-raising actions in the streets of Yerevan, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Furthermore, in previous days, the police had also detained participants during these informative actions.
