VIDEO: This is an unconstitutional law: Another protest by car importers

Car importers are holding another protest in front of the Presidential residence. They are requesting that the new tax law not come into force hastily, which requires them to have a 20% profit and pay an 18% profit tax and VAT from it. This was stated by Vardan Onanyan, the director of a car import company, in a conversation with reporters.

“We are all facing the reality that there are also thousands of customers who have signed contracts with car import companies and are waiting for their cars. We are being forced to have a 20% income from our imported vehicles, from which we must pay profit tax, but undoubtedly these companies do not earn 20% from transactions. Tens of thousands of people are waiting for their cars; this is an unconstitutional law,” he emphasized.

Onanyan noted that they have prepared a letter to be submitted to the Office of the President of Armenia, requesting that the president not sign and validate the law that was adopted in the first reading on November 14.
