VIDEO: Another Chemical Drug Laboratory Discovered in Yerevan
A chemical drug laboratory has been discovered in one of the houses on Norqi Aghunner Street in the Norq-Marash administrative district of Yerevan. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
Police received operational information regarding the incident and subsequently conducted a search of the house. "Plastic containers were found, with two jars containing 2 and 6 packages resembling marijuana, respectively, a zip package containing 12.5 grams of the same substance, scales with traces of crystalline and plant materials, and three packages weighing 264 grams of a substance resembling crystal drugs. In addition, 218 plants resembling hemp and one bag containing leaves of the same plant were found. Ultravoilet light-emitting devices and equipment for humidifying and drying air, along with fertilizers and dried substances resembling marijuana, weighing approximately 6 kilograms and 600 grams in total, were also discovered," the statement said.
It has been established that all rooms in the house were being used for the cultivation and processing of the mentioned substances. The house was rented by a 37-year-old man, while marijuana was cultivated and drugs were prepared and sold together with a 36-year-old foreign national. Measures are underway to locate these individuals. The documents formed have been transferred to the investigative department, and circumstances are being clarified.
It is noteworthy that earlier a group preparing drugs in laboratory conditions was uncovered in the Kotayk region, resulting in the arrest of five individuals, two of whom are Russian citizens and three are Armenian citizens. More details are available in the video.
