EU Fact-Finding Mission to Arrive in Armenia

A delegation from the European External Action Service and the European Commission is set to arrive in Armenia from November 27 to 29. This was announced in a publication on the official website of the European Union.

During the visit, EU-Armenia relations will be discussed on various platforms, aiming to explore possible avenues for deepening and strengthening EU-Armenia ties, as well as how Armenia can utilize the full potential of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

The publication notes that the visit is carried out in pursuit of the European Council’s mandate from October 26-27, aimed at effectively outlining options for strengthening EU-Armenia relations.

As part of the visit, representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security, and justice, also known as Frontex, will join the representatives of the European External Action Service and the European Commission.

The arriving delegation will have meetings with high-ranking officials of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, as well as representatives from the United Nations and civil society organizations.

In connection with the visit, the launch of the investment coordination platform between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia will be announced.
