VIDEO: Pashinyan on Driver's Licenses for Armenians Living in Russia

Julya

An Armenian compatriot living in Russia asked the Prime Minister about the future of Armenians residing there, given the deteriorating relations with Russia. In response, Pashinyan stated that Russia is still considered a friendly country and emphasized, “We will do everything to ensure that our relations with Russia are based on mutual respect and the respect of each other's interests.”

Regarding questions about driver’s licenses, he noted that about ten years ago, discussions arose on this issue, with Russians stating that there was no opportunity to work freely with Armenian licenses because the Russian language does not have official status in Armenia. “When I was a member of parliament, our Russian colleagues said to grant Russian language status and we would recognize Armenian driver's licenses,” the Prime Minister said.
