Drones Attempted to Attack One of Russia's Military Bases: What Happened Overnight
On the night of November 24, Russia's air defense forces destroyed at least three Ukrainian drones in the Volgograd region. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the Baza Telegram channel, the drones attempted to attack one of the military bases in the Gorodishchensky District.
"This night, an attempt was made to carry out a terrorist attack against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation using aircraft-type drones by the Kyiv regime. The standby air defense systems destroyed 16 drones, including 13 from the Crimean Peninsula and three in the Volgograd region," the Ministry of Defense stated.
Baza clarifies that three aircraft-type drones were flying towards the military base in the Gorodishcheny District. According to the channel's data, one of them fell in the area of a unit and exploded. No injuries were reported as a result of the attack.
It is reported that the head of the Main Directorate of Combat Operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Sergey Baranov, announced that Ukraine is preparing for widespread drone attacks on Russian regions during the winter. He stated that the border areas of Russia and Crimea would be subjected to attacks.
