Azerbaijan Opens Fire on Armenian Position; One Soldier Killed According to MoD

On December 4, at around 14:35, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on an Armenian position located in the vicinity of Bardzruj (Vayots Dzor province). As a result, serviceman Gerasim Avetik Arakelyan from the Armenian Ministry of Defense’s military unit suffered fatal gunshot wounds. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

To fully clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident, an investigation is underway.
